Randall Shelton Has Received Many Awards In Recognition Of His Excellent Work

Randall Shelton is an Atlanta based administrative professional with over 35 years of experience in auxiliary administration and business development. He has worked with the topmost Universities and Colleges in Atlanta. His most recent achievement is the 2015 University Administration of the Year award, which he received in recognition of his excellent work while serving as the Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Operations at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA.

Randall Shelton at Kennesaw State University also led the Culinary team to the number 1 foodservice program in the nation (as recognized by the National Restaurant Association), winning the Operator Innovator of the Year Award for 2013. In addition to this, he also developed and awarded the largest Foodservice RFP for $60 million, with $14 million in cash contribution. In 2002, he won the Outstanding Administrator of the year award.

Randall Shelton is a graduate of the Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma where he did his B.S. in Accounting with concentrations in Business Law and Management. He also did his graduate study toward M.S. in Institutional Management and completed his major coursework. He is also a Certified Facilitator and Corporate Trainer, Performance Training institute, Destiny Seminars International in Toronto, Ontario. Currently, Randall runs a project named "Peanut Butter for Homeless College Students Project" to raise funds for the distribution of peanut butter to homeless college students.

Randall Shelton – A Senior Level Administrative Professional

Randall Shelton is an Atlanta based senior level administrative professional. In 2015, he received University Administrator of the Year Award for the commendable work he performed as the Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Operations at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA. In 2013, he led the University’s Culinary team to the America’s top foodservice program (as recognized by the National Restaurant Association), winning the Operator Innovator of the Year Award for 2013.

Randall Shelton at Kennesaw State University re-organized the entire parking and transportation system to increase revenues and reduce costs.  He redeveloped bookstore operations, added text book rentals, online course materials, and several online coop textbook programs to increase revenue and reduce costs to students by $1.4 million per year.  The result was overall 20% increase in revenue for the division. Randall also restructured student health clinics into full service medical urgent care clinic. Besides that, he successfully led the transition of the entire campus to Blackboard and Blackboard Transact systems.  He was the core team member responsible for the successful development of a new campus master plan. 

Randall Shelton prior to working at Kennesaw State University, served as the Director of Auxiliary Services at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK. Here, he was responsible for all auxiliary operations of three campuses and a student population of 10,000. He managed the operational areas of Housing and Residential Life, Grounds and landscape, Maintenance, Fitness Center, Bookstore, Food Service, Motor Pool, Vending, Student Union, Campus Printing Service, Campus Events, Mail Services   and Post Office.  His other responsibilities also included partnership with the campus card system, administration of the campus cable TV system, & the campus fleet management program. He worked at NSU for three years and efficiently handled all budgets, capital projects, human resources, and technology.

Randall Shelton Is an Atlanta Based Administrative Professional

Randall Shelton is an Atlanta based administrative professional with over 35 years of experience in diverse areas of auxiliary administration and business development. Randall Shelton served Kennesaw State University (KSU), Kennesaw, GA as the Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Operations from August 2012 to 2016. For his noteworthy work, he was honored with the University Administrator of the year award in 2015. Back in 2013, he won the “operator innovator of the year” award for leading the University’s Culinary team to the number 1 foodservice program in the nation (as recognized by the National Restaurant Association).

Randall Shelton at Kennesaw State University (KSU) was responsible for all auxiliary operations within two campuses and a student population of 33,000.  He managed the operational areas of culinary services, Franchise operations, Parking, Transportation, Campus ID card administration, campus wide printer and copier fleet, access control, student health clinics, student union operations, mail services, marketing, maintenance and custodial in auxiliary areas. Randall Shelton was also responsible for Kennesaw State University’s capital projects and master plan development.

In the past, Randall Shelton has worked with many other leading Universities & Colleges in the country, including Northeastern State University, Georgetown College, The Wichita State University, Ohio University, and Oklahoma State University. He started his professional career in the 1980s as a senior food service coordinator, purchasing specialist, and manager of food services at the Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. He also owned and managed a small private construction business in the Wichita market for one year. As a consultant and contractor, he brilliantly managed two high-end restaurant projects. He smoothly moved both these projects from initial concept through start-up to ongoing operation.

Randall Shelton is an alumnus of Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting with concentrations in Business Law and Management. He has also done his graduate study toward M.S. in Institutional Management from the same University.
