Randall Shelton Has Been Awarded For His Accomplishments and Achievements

Randall Shelton is an Atlanta based administrative professional with over three decades of experience. He has worked with top most universities and served all of his duties diligently. Out of them, one was Kennesaw State University where he brought commendable changes and has been praised by the top management. At Kennesaw State University, he led the culinary team to the number 1 foodservice program in the nation as recognized by the National Restaurant Association. Here, he won the Operator Innovator of the Year Award for the year 2013.

In addition to this, he also developed and awarded the largest Foodservice RFP for $60 million, with $14 million in cash contribution. After realizing the state of transportation system of the university, he re-organized the entire parking and transportation system to increase revenues and reduce costs.  He also took the charge of entire bookstore operations that were redeveloped and added text book rentals, online course materials, as well as several online coop textbook programs to increase revenue which reduced costs to students by $1.4 million per year.  There was a overall 20% increase in revenue for the division. 

To provide the optimum health care services to the students, Randall Shelton restructured student health clinics into full service medical urgent care clinic. He led the transition of the entire campus to Blackboard and Blackboard Transact systems.  He also did the successful consolidation of the auxiliary operations of two universities into one single auxiliary department operating on two campuses.  He was the core team member for the successful development of a new campus master plan. For year 2015, he has been awarded the University Administrator of the Year Award in recognition of accomplishments and achievements. 

Randall Shelton also has many professional certifications which he has achieved due to his skills and talent. Auxiliary Operations – Contract Administration

He was the Director of Auxiliary Services at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK and Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Operations at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA. Lead the successful consolidation of the auxiliary operations of two universities into one single auxiliary department operating on two campuses.  He was the core team member for the successful development of a new campus master plan. At Ohio University, he Assumed leadership of a stagnant food service, housing, and auxiliary division, with an administrative mandate to lead a major turn-around within existing resources.

Student Health Administration

At Kennesaw University, Randall Shelton handled the operational area of student health clinics and made sure they offered all the care and facilities to students. Here, he also restructured student health clinics into a full service medical urgent care clinic.

Student Housing Facilities

At Northeastern State University, he developed RFP and led the development process for a campus housing master plan for housing replacement and renovation. At Ohio University, he implemented a complete re-organization of both the housing and dining services departments leading up to and completing a merger with the facilities management division to achieve $4 million in budget savings through elimination of duplicated functions. At Northeastern State University, he was responsible for the operational areas of Housing and Residential Life. at Georgetown College, he was the member of management team handling all the housing facilities.

Food service operation and design

At Ohio University, Randall Shelton developed and implemented a 15-year master plan which currently has lead to the complete renovation of four residence halls and three dining areas. He was responsible for a physical plant consisting of 5 large multi-unit dining centers. At Georgetown College, he was responsible for Student dining hall, 4 fast food outlets, a bakery, and catering services.
Parking and transportation

At Kennesaw University, he re-organized the entire parking and transportation system to increase revenues and reduce costs.
